Baden-Württemberg – Where else? After all, it’s the home of the automobile. Wilhelm Maybach and Gottlieb Daimler invented the first cars here in the late nineteenth century. However, Mercedes (DaimlerChrysler) is not the only global player to come from Baden-Württemberg – Porsche, Bosch, SAP, Hugo Boss, and many more besides are also headquartered here.
