Baden-Württemberg universities: Focus on Poland in 2005
At the "Baden-Württemberg Universities" booth in Poland, higher education experts from Baden-Württemberg International and from the University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart) not only provided detailed information on the landscape of higher education in Baden-Württemberg, but also gave Polish high school and university students practical advice concerning health insurance, costs of living and how to apply for student accommodation.
Besides participating at the Fair, Baden-Württemberg International visited the German Willy-Brandt-School and established relationships with the coordinators of Polish lyceums which focus on German as a second language. Since Poland is one of the main focus areas this year, Baden-Württemberg International is planning further activities, such as the presentation on "Study and Life in Baden-Württemberg" at a directors´ conference in Wroclaw at the beginning of June. Between 14th and 17th September, Baden-Württemberg will also be represented at the EAIE Annual conference in Krakow.
During the last few months Baden-Württemberg International has presented the universities in Baden-Württemberg not only at the education fair in Poland but also at similar events in Russia, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
