Three new Master’s degree courses in technology and electronics at Heilbronn University
As of the coming summer semester Heilbronn University will be offering three new Master's degree courses in technology and electronics. The courses in "mechanical engineering", "mechatronics" and "electronic systems engineering" all lead to a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) qualification at the end of three semesters of study. In close cooperation with regional companies, students will receive teaching which will qualify them to take on specialist and personnel management roles in the development departments of industrial firms, to opt for a career in research or to apply for a higher grade civil service position.
The mechanical engineering degree focuses on computer-aided engineering methods for virtual product development, such as digital mockups or advanced computational fluid dynamics. The mechatronics degree will include lectures on microtechnology, optics, drive technology and computer science. And finally, the electronic systems engineering degree concentrates on design methods and the simulation of electric systems and their implementation in appropriate hardware and software. All lectures will be partly in English.
With almost 6,000 students Heilbronn University is the largest state institution of higher education in the north eastern region of Baden-Württemberg. A total of 41 Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses are offered at three locations in Heilbronn, Künzelsau and Schwäbisch Hall.
