Solutions for mobility of tomorrow
One of the biggest challenges of our society today is the sustainability of mobility: Polluted air and traffic chaos in towns, overloaded motorways and goods vehicles that have to travel numerous miles before their products reach their final destination ...answers to such traffic problems and environmentally friendly mobility can only be found in networks which integrate planning prerequisites and technical and socio-economic know-how.
15 scientists at the Universität Stuttgart have teamed up with the aim of creating integrated solutions to the mobility problems through interdiciplinary work. The forward-thinking scientists have created FOVUS - the Center for Transportation Reasearch and are holding their fourth international symposium under the motto "Networks for Mobility" on the 25th and 26th September.
Approx. 150 participants from all around the world will discuss matters such as planning traffic systems, traffic control and telematics as well as the latest research results in the areas of transport and the environment. The international symposium will then take the opportunity to discuss these results and solutions using their international backgrounds and knowledge.
