"Poetics and Money”: Konstanz International Summer School

The Konstanz International Summer School (KIS) for Literary Studies will be held in the context of the "Cultural Foundations of Integration" Centre of Excellence from the 20th of July to the 3rd of August, 2008. The central topic this year will be Poetics and Money. The summer school is open to literary and cultural studies graduate students of any nationality.
Poetics and Money will be viewed from five different perspectives – English, German, Romance and Slavic literature and Film/Media Studies – each as a self-contained course, of which participants may choose one each. The courses will be held in morning and afternoon sessions between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm for a total of 26 teaching hours. Additional interdisciplinary colloquiums and a number of evening lectures by renowned speakers will broaden the perspective and contribute to participants’ understanding of the central topic.
