The Akademie für Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Technik (Academy for Science, Business and Technology) has earmarked €100,000 of its own money as an academy fund to promote the internationalisation of Ulm University. The academy provides courses and advanced training measures, including preparatory courses for international medical internships.
Ulm University’s English-language programmes stand to benefit most from the efforts to enhance internationalisation. €80,000 will be used for grants, especially to cover tuition for gifted students from countries or social strata with extremely low income levels. Highly qualified students from Africa, southern and south-eastern Asia and eastern Europe are especially set to benefit from the fund. The remaining €20,000 will be used to promote international partnerships and develop new programs to maintain contacts.
