The results of the CHE Research Ranking for 2007 were announced on 20 February. The four universities in the southwest once again stood out with very good results. The universities of Freiburg, Heidelberg, Karlsruhe and Stuttgart have been leading the pack consistently for years. “After the Excellence Initiative, the CHE ranking is further proof of the leading position of Baden-Württemberg’s institutions of higher education,” explains Science Minister Professor Peter Frankenberg. The schools do not see the ranking as a reason to rest on their laurels, however, but an impetus to improve further, especially in an international context. |
