Worldwide Recognition for Karlsruhe Engineers
Successful students at Universität Karlsruhe (TH) can look forward to an internationally accredited degree in electrical engineering and information technology. The programme was the first in Europe to receive international recognition by ABET, a leading accreditation agency based in the United States. Thanks to the endorsement by this oldest engineering institution in the world, holders of a Universität Karlsruhe (TH) diploma and future graduates of the master’s programme will be able to work anywhere in the world as recognised engineers.
According to the ABET evaluation, the research work and curriculum of Universität Karlsruhe’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology are closely aligned with the needs of industry. The reviewers were also impressed by the consistent application of total quality management in the department’s teaching activities.
On successfully completing the programme, students at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology are awarded a degree that confirms the curriculum’s international endorsement. The accreditation will also be applied to the master’s program as soon as the first students have completed it.
